For Council Consideration on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4 p.m.


Pursuant to Section 494 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that council for the District of Elkford will consider a three-year renewal of Temporary Use Permit No. 18-02 at the meeting to be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Teck Hall, in the Community Conference Centre at 750 Fording Drive, Elkford, B.C.

 

TEMPORARY USE PERMIT NO. 18-02 RENEWAL

Legal Description:

Lot A, District Lot 7023, Kootenay District Plan EPP77820 and District Lot 9399, Kootenay District (except part included in Plan 9810)

 

Purpose:

The property owner has applied to renew Temporary Use Permit 18-02 for three more years to allow for temporary buildings for workforce accommodation including: 484 sleeping units, kitchen, dining, recreation and parking. If renewed, the expiry of the permit would be October 11, 2024. The permit will include conditions that the applicant must address for the permit to stay valid.


All persons who believe they are affected by the Temporary Use Permit are encouraged to submit their concerns in writing to the District Office at 744 Fording Drive, by email to info@elkford.ca, by online submission at engage.elkford.ca/tecktemporaryusepermit or to present any comments during the meeting on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4 p.m.

The permit is available for viewing at the District Office or at engage.elkford.ca. Further information may be obtained by contacting the District of Elkford at 250.865.4000, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except statutory holidays).
