The District of Elkford has prepared an addendum to the approved 2014 Wapiti Ski Hill Resort Master Plan, under its existing Operating Agreement. The addendum, referred to as 'The Mountain Bike Trail Plan' has a specific focus on all-season use and mountain biking and expands upon information provided in the Master Plan. Mountain biking is identified as a desired future use of the resort, and the addendum expands upon this planned recreational improvement and provides details of a phased approach for completion.


The Mountain Bike Trail Plan has been submitted to the Mountain Resorts Branch (MRB) of Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport (TACS). MRB has initiated consultation with local First Nations and has posted the addendum their website at:

If you have comments, questions or concerns about this proposed addendum please submit them to planning@elkford.ca. Comments will be compiled for a three-week period, ending on February 12, 2024, and reviewed collectively for potential impacts to the proposed addendum.
